Salsa in Singapore is alive and well (im certain everyone was worried). Singapore Salsa thrives around one major nightclub called Union Square, where they have salsa every single night. Not hard to imagine where I was . . . every single night! ;) Singapore, which will be part of the upcoming "SalsaCrazy Asia", has some of the finest, and nicest, salsa dancers Ive yet to visit.

Singapore has a very tropical climate, and as opposed to everywhere else I visited, it was HOT. I mean, out at 4am, eating curry, take off your shirt because I cant seem to cool off from dancing, kinda hot. During the day, when there might be brief spurts of rain, it cooled down, and the city is great to walk in. At night, it pretty stays the same temp. It can get VERY hot!

But lets talk food for a second. I had some really great meals, from Dim Sum (thanks to Jean from Two Left Feet, more on her later, http://www.two-leftfeet.com), to an enormous chili crab on the banks of the river (courtesy of Singapore Airlines), the food was non-stop, and excellent! I mean - I barely stopped eating the entire time I was there - and even though I danced a lot, I dont think I made up for the eating overload.

Early on, I was lucky enough to meet Jean and Wendy from Two Left Feet Dance Studios, and they were great. Apart from being fantastic dancers, they are super nice people - and all of their students were great fun. Check out their website, and if you visit Singapore, this should be your first stop (http://www.two-leftfeet.com)! Also, a shout out to Dixon and Panda, whom were also super friendly, and showed me the 3am Indian food circuit. ;)

Look for one of our very own San Francisco on2 teachers to visit Singapore, perhaps soon, for a series of workshops and performances!
