Truly - there are things to do every single night of the week, and usually, there are multiple things each night. I love both live music, and a good DJ, so for someone like me, I'll be out almost every night . . . or at least I used to.
Perhaps the Salsa world never sleeps, but believe it or not . . . I do! I love to dance, that's fairly obvious. I also love to teach, inspire, and all-around, have a great time. But there's no way to be everywhere at once (believe me, I've tried).
Tonight - with Jelly's at Pier 50, and the ever happening Allegro Ballroom, and Caribbean Gardens, I'm opting to - Stay home! That's right. It's called relaxation. I don't think I've been out this whole weekend. Did I miss anything? I was planning on Charanson at Cocomo, but it never materialized! I know it's probably a great night to dance - but I'm tired (I need my beauty sleep - or so everyone keep's telling me). ;)
For the next week, there's a lot to look forward to! Karamba at it's temporary location on Pier 33 (Tuesday) -- Lessons at 8pm, Top of the Mark Hopkins Hotel (Wednesday with Benny Velarde) - Beginning Dance Lessons at 8pm, Starlight Room (Thursday with Charason) - Beginning Dance Lessons at 8:30pm, Friday night at Jillians (Havana NRG), Saturday night at Cocomo (with Avance), and then Sunday at Cocomo too (for an important benefit). I think next week is going to have A LOT of dancing in it?! So, what are you going to do?
Also, coming soon - my favorite East Bay spot, DownLow Lounge is starting it's dance competition (which means at least some travelling across the dreaded Bay Bridge). Before you know it, it's going to be Valentines day!
